I have learned some amazing things while being up on the roof. I sometimes need to take some time for solitude to think and take care of things in my own mind. It has been cold and refreshing. Last night it snowed and it was cold so tonight it is a balmy 37 right now and no liquid falling from the sky but the planets are aligned tonight. Who knew I had picked such a prime time to go crazy. We are almost to the thousand dollar mark and that is pretty exciting. One fifth of the way there.
The first thing I have learned is who really cares for me. Those who are concerned about my well being. They don’t have to be but that is just a part of genuine care.
Second, I must really be tough against the cold weather Others were on the roof today and freezing to death. I kinda enjoy the temp and the wind blowing around,
Third, people who are believers are generous and give when there is a cause.
Fourth, I have to trust God with everything. Not just part of my life but everything. I am totally indebted to Him and there is nothing that I can do to deserve His grace or His mercy.
Fifth, it is okay to need to have others help you. I have made a bunch of phone calls to set up the next season of my life. I am asking other people to get into my life on a weekly basis to pull me to a greater place in devotion and consecration to him.
Sixth, God is so faithful and knows even the deepest part of me, my desires and my wants and sometimes he gives gifts that overwhelm me.
Seventh, I don’t want to do anything else with my life other than being a pastor and leader. I have the most amazing crew right now and they are in love with Jesus.
just a few thoughts from up on the roof

You don’t mind the cold because you keep your house at 37 degrees…
